Netanyahu’s Warning to Sanaa: Houthi PM Killed in ‘First of Many’ Blows

by admin477351

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has sent a clear and deadly message to the Houthi leadership in Sanaa, framing the assassination of their prime minister as the “first of many” blows to come. Netanyahu celebrated the strike as a “fatal” success against the group.

The Israeli operation came after months of provocations from the Houthis, who have launched weekly missile attacks on Israel and disrupted global trade in the Red Sea. The group has consistently stated its actions are in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.

The precision strike from such a great distance showcases a formidable leap in Israel’s intelligence and long-range capabilities. Despite the death of Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb Al Rahwi, the mission’s primary objective—the Houthi chief of staff—was not achieved, as he was not present at the targeted location.

The Houthis responded with defiance, with a senior leader promising revenge for the “martyrs” in a televised statement. While analysts believe the attack will disrupt the group’s internal operations and force its leaders underground, they remain skeptical that it will alter the group’s fundamental hostile stance toward Israel.
