Google has just launched a new AI feature that promises to be a massive time-saver for students and professionals. A new tool within Gemini Canvas can now take any document, from a long research paper to a brief outline, and instantly turn it into a fully designed Google Slides presentation.
This smart tool handles all the tedious formatting. It reads and interprets your text file, then auto-generates a structured slide deck. This includes creating all the titles, adding section breaks, and even inserting relevant visuals to match the content, all within a professional theme.
This update marks another big step in Google’s plan to make AI a true productivity partner. Instead of just helping you write, Gemini is now capable of doing the heavy lifting of visual design and layout, transforming your content in seconds.
The generated presentation isn’t final. Users can easily export the slide deck into Google Slides for any further edits, personal touches, or team collaboration, making it a flexible and powerful workflow.
Google has confirmed the feature is rolling out globally right now. It is available to both personal Google accounts and Workspace users. Early reports suggest Gemini Advanced (Pro) subscribers are getting the first look, with a wider rollout to free users planned soon.
