Vietnam’s General Secretary and President Tô Lâm, alongside his spouse Ngô Phương Ly, was formally welcomed by Russian President Vladimir Putin at an official ceremony held at the Kremlin in Moscow, marking a significant moment in his ongoing state visit to Russia. The ceremony took place in the grandeur of the St George’s Hall within the Grand Kremlin Palace, where the two leaders exchanged cordial greetings, followed by the playing of the national anthems of Vietnam and Russia. After the welcoming ceremony, President Tô Lâm and President Putin engaged in talks and participated in the signing of bilateral cooperation documents, subsequently addressing the media. The longstanding friendship between Vietnam and Russia, which has lasted for over 75 years, is underscored by strong political ties and mutual trust.
