Putin Denies Russia Preparing for Conflict, Considers Ukraine Peace Talks

by admin477351

Russian President Vladimir Putin has dismissed concerns from some European NATO members, insisting that Russia is not preparing for any conflict with Europe. Amid rising tensions, Putin emphasized that Moscow has no reason to escalate hostilities with European countries and criticized claims suggesting otherwise.

In a related development, Putin indicated that Russia is evaluating whether to resume peace talks with Ukraine. This consideration follows recent Ukrainian attacks on Russian territory, with the Russian leader stating that Moscow would carefully assess its next steps before deciding on a potential return to negotiations.

Despite these diplomatic overtures, Russian airstrikes across Ukraine continue unabated, causing significant casualties and infrastructure damage. A recent attack in Kyiv resulted in the deaths of seven people, including a 14-year-old boy, and left dozens injured.

The ongoing conflict has also had severe economic repercussions. ArcelorMittal, an international steel manufacturing corporation, announced the shutdown of production at Ukraine’s largest steel plant due to repeated Russian strikes that have damaged the facility and resulted in worker fatalities. This development adds to the mounting economic pressures faced by Ukraine as the war persists.
